Anthropology and Geology Museums at USU - Joy of the Earth

We took advantage of some of the amazing resources at USU to learn more about the earth.
Of course running on Old Main Hill and enjoying the beautiful fall colors was fun too!

At the anthropology museum we learned about people from other times.  While we waited the children had some great guesses for what the pictures on this rock are.

The boys were very interested in the weapons.
We learned that before Macey's and Walmart people would hunt and gather their food clothing and everything they needed to survive.

This is one of the weapons they would use to hunt.

These four were curious about eating the grass hoppers, but no one was brave enough to put it in their mouth.

Everyone got a turn grinding the corn.

We each even got to try on this unusual mask.

The geology museum was fascinating as well.  There were amazing fossils. Rocks that glowed in the dark. Dinosaurs bones and all kinds of "weird rocks".

The children got to touch and enjoy some really amazing rocks.

There is so much JOY to be found in this incredible EARTH!
